Step 4.5.1

Hello! I’m seeing similar topics here, but the responses aren’t seeming to help? I’m a Mac user!

"In your terminal, type ls and verify you can see Gemfile in the output. If you don’t navigate to the directory you have created in Steps 4.2 and 4.3."

Sure, I see Gemfile! I can move on, right? Apparently not.

Then we will use VSCode to modify our Gemfile. Open your app in VSCode by typing code .

Uh. ‘Use code .’ on what? If I try that in terminal it doesn’t work, it shows up as “command not found”. So…maybe that’s not it? But since VSC is mentioned afterwards for what I believe is the first time…Am I missing something? Is there something I’m not doing right?

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, so you’ll probably have to explain in the simplest way possible, but I’d appreciate any help!

Hi @cultvre

Try following the section here called launching from the command line. It was mentioned in the installation guide on TOP but maybe you missed it.

Oh! Thank you so much, I think I did miss it-!
