Having trouble running code

Hello, I am having trouble running some code. I am currently on the “Introduction to the front end” portion of the curriculum and am on the Mozilla website’s portion of the lesson where it teaches JavaScript basics. Here is a link to the page: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Getting_started_with_the_web/JavaScript_basics

I am at the part where it is talking about functions, and I copy-pasted the author’s function example of multiplying into my Visual Studio Code. I wanted to run it to then test and see it in action, but I’m a little stuck. I opened up the terminal, as you can see in my screenshot, highlighted my text and then did “run selected text” from the “terminal” tab at the top of VSC. I got an error message and am unsure how to get it to the run the code. I googled and searched through the forum to see if I could find a solution but am unsure if what I saw was relevant to my situation.
Tldr; I am trying to figure out how to run the code in VSC.
My apologies if this question is a very simple answer. Thanks

I think it’s node mulitply.js
